Dechema - Signing Ceremony part two
Sonntag, 21. Juni 2015 um 15:02

At one of the world’s most creative fairs on chemistry and biotechnology, ACHEMA, held in Frankfurt a. M. from 15-19 June 2015, DtMG and DECHEMA officially announced to join forces in fostering partnerships in bioeconomy between Malaysia and Germany, EU and AEC (ASEAN Economic Community).

DECHEMA is the association of chemical technology and biotechnology in Germany and a major organizer of ACHEMA;
DtMG puts its focus on fostering communication and mutual cultural understanding for sustainable partnering between Malaysia /AEC and Germany /EU in business, politics and education.

After an introductory note by Consul General of Malaysia, Ms Adina Kamarudin, welcoming this effort and reminding of the important role DtMG had played in initiating another pertinent partnership between DECHEMA and BiotechCorp in February 2015, the Chairman of DtMG, Dato’ Dr Achim Deja, and the Executive Director of DECHEMA, Prof Dr Kurt Wagemann, signed the MoU for cooperation. Such cooperation aims to complement the existing expert partnership between DECHEMA and BiotechCorp with  DtMG’s “soft factor” knowledge and activities which focus on trust building through hands-on networking and the application of the integrity and UN Global Compact principles. The event was covered by Bernama (link/document download).

The new partnership started hands-on the following day, 16 June, with a DECHEMA webinar where MIDA  and BiotechCorp provided a profound overview of options for partnerships in bioeconomy in Malaysia – and DtMG explained its added value for the process of developing any such partnering endeavors with sustainable success.
